We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Finance Manager to oversee financial operations, provide guidance to key departments, and develop strategies that enhance organizational growth. This is a unique opportunity to lead finance functions while supporting admissions and finance officers to achieve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Operations and Management:

  • Oversee tuition fee collection, including reminders, overdue follow-ups, and intake-wise updates.
  • Manage payroll processing, including lecturer payments on a fortnightly basis.
  • Approve and process agent commission payments, ensuring accuracy in XERO.
  • Handle refund calculations and payments and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
  • Perform bank reconciliations in XERO for regular and high-frequency payment periods.
  • Generate and approve student invoices as per offer letters, scholarship letters, or changes in CoE.
  • Reconcile suspense accounts monthly and provide detailed financial reports

Budgeting and Financial Forecasting:

  • Develop and manage annual budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Prepare financial forecasts to identify growth opportunities and address potential risks.
  • Conduct variance analysis to monitor financial performance and suggest corrective actions.


Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure PRISM compliance for visa-rejected offshore students and maintain adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and approve invoices for extensions, suspensions, and course changes.
  • Prepare and submit IAS for lodgment with auditors and oversee quarterly BAS submissions.
  • Conduct annual STP finalization and provide financial reports to management as required.

Guidance and Leadership:

  • Provide expert guidance and support to the admissions staff on fee-related queries and processes.
  • Mentor and supervise the finance officers, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment and encourage professional growth within the finance and admissions teams.

Administrative and Strategic Tasks:

  • Collaborate with admissions staff to address queries related to student fee payment status and compliance.
  • Provide payment plans and installment options to students on a case-by-case basis.
  • Draft, verify, and approve agent commission bills and trainer payments in XERO.
  • Support trainers with payroll updates, batch payments, and payslip emails.
  • Address inquiries from students and agents regarding financial and payment-related matters

What We Expect From You

  • Financial Tools Expertise: Advanced proficiency in XERO for accounting, invoicing, reconciliation, and payroll processing.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Strong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of PRISM compliance and local/international financial regulations, including BAS, IAS, and STP standards. 
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Proficiency in preparing detailed financial reports, variance analysis, and budget performance reviews.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and mentor finance and admissions teams.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive) and ERP systems for financial management.
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset to address discrepancies and implement efficient financial workflows.

 

Candidate Requirements:

Educational Qualifications:

  • Fully qualified CA (Chartered Accountant), ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), or MBA in Finance.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Finance Manager or in a senior finance role.
  • Proven experience in budgeting, financial forecasting, and compliance in an international or large-scale organization.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the education sector or working with international organizations is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and collaborative abilities to work effectively across teams.
